Minetti Sports Cars wins 2008 Cams Superspint Nationals! Minetti Sports Cars has taken out the inaugural CAMS National Supersprint Championship held over two days on the 22nd & 23rd of November at Sydneys Eastern Creek raceway. With the unseasonally cold weather, light showers and strong headwinds making every lap a challange, Minetti factory driver Scott Bingham took the new Minetti SS-V1 to first place, lapping the Eastern Creek circuit in 1:38.22. The event was held in great spirit and Minetti Sports Cars looks forward to defending the title in VIC at the end of next year. Click here for the full results

2008 Lemans sports series @ Oran Park - Race report The first round of the new Lemans Sports series threw up a few challenges for the Minetti factory team even before a wheel had been turned. Scott Bingham substituted for an un-well Dennis Holland and although thrown well and trully in the deep end, performed well to bring the new minetti SS-V1 home in third outright and first in class. Introducing the new Minetti SS-V1   The Minetti SS-V1 can be supplied as a basic roller, right through to a complete car ready to race. Designed to accommodate most late model super bike engines, the Suzuki GSX1300R hayabusa engine is our recommended option due to its excellent reliability and strength. Most of these engines in stock form produce close to 200bhp and give very impressive performance in a chassis/engine combination that weighs in at only 400kg.(That’s V8 supercar power to weight figures!)    The Minetti SS-V1 builds on the strengths of the original Minetti ZZ/I and includes the following improvements -  Changes in the chassis have resulted in extra strength and safety as well as more adjustability in the seating and pedal positioning for the driver. A central seating position has been adopted giving the car a better balance and improved driver safety. The overall weight has been reduced down to 400kg by the use of light weight composite materials in the body work.  Changes in the rear bodywork allow the use of most standard super bike engine air boxes. A new front spitter/diffuser is now attached to the chassis as opposed to the body giving a significant increase in front down force and resistance to damage.  In the braking department, wilwood braking components are now used throughout including the pedal assemblies.  Super light weight alloy wheels can carry a range of different tyre brands and construction/compounds to suit your intended use.   For full specifications and pricing go to the specifications & pricing page  To see pictures of the new SS-V1 please go to the gallery page  For Further information please go to the contact page
